Patti Langlais serves as Apicii's Vice President of HR. Her day-to-day role focuses on staff recruitment, developing and maintaining policies and procedures, and employee relations. She also dedicates much of her time to creating a diverse and engaging culture that attracts top talent — and retaining them. Her goal at Apicii is to continue building strong leadership teams while implementing programs that benefit all employees.
She first chose human resources as her career because she enjoyed working with people — and liked being part of a team with the employee's and businesses' best interests at the forefront. What attracted her to the hospitality industry is simply the passion of those in the industry. She loves how pioneers in food and beverage use their drive to become inspiring and influential leaders.
With more than 20 years of experience, Patti has dedicated her career to providing a solid foundation for staff to develop and grow alongside the business. She worked for over a decade at Citigroup as their human resources manager and business partner. She made significant contributions, including slashing onboarding time from over three weeks to only one week for mortgage loan employees who required high-level security access.
\When she worked as the human resources director at Rosa Mexicano Restaurant Company in New York, NY, she reduced employee turnover by 35 percent within six months by focusing on implementing employee engagement programs and recommending behavioral interview training for managers. The result was happier and better supported current employees who felt heard by their employer from day one.
At Rosa Mexicano Restaurant Company, Patti met the people who later became senior leaders at Apicii, and they convinced her to join their team. After years of working so well together, she knew that Apicii would be the perfect fit for the next chapter of her human resources career.
Patti recently relocated from New York, NY, to Bluffton, South Carolina. When she's not busy working and advocating for employees, she enjoys pursuing home DIY improvement projects.
