As director of food & beverage for the Grayson Hotel concepts, Peter O’Reilly brings 20 years of local industry experience to Apicii’s stylish Bryant Park oasis.

Born in Columbus, Ga., and raised in Westport, Conn., O’Reilly initially studied English Literature at Dallas’ Southern Methodist University, gaining communication and critical thinking skills that became crucial for his future leadership roles in hospitality.

After graduating, a publishing job brought O’Reilly to New York City, where he took a side gig working brunches at the now-closed West Village wine bar ‘ino. It was there that he discovered his love for Italian food and wine, and hospitality in general.

Since that moment of discovery, O’Reilly has held general manager positions at NYC restaurants including Bowery Road at Hyatt Union Square, Nur, The East Pole and Peels. He also served as director of operations for Broome Street Hospitality.

O’Reilly now lives in Bushwick, Brooklyn, with his wife and two sons, where he spends his spare time collecting vinyl and books, attending concerts and exploring the city’s diverse neighborhoods and cuisines (especially Queens).
